Power of Now Oasis — 200-Hour Hatha-Vinyasa YTT, Sanur

About the Program

Power of Now Oasis has been running yoga teacher trainings in Sanur since 2010 and has welcomed more than 1,000 graduates. Its eco-friendly centre sits directly on the beach and has two shalas — the purpose-built bamboo studio on the sand and a second studio dedicated to training students — plus a treatment room, lounge, juice bar and tea house set in a garden. The school describes itself as semi-non-profit and supports the Sole Family Foundation, including scholarships.

The training runs over four weeks (around 160 contact hours with the lead teachers) and prepares students to teach Hatha and Vinyasa flow classes, with Yin as a foundational style. Groups are capped at 20 students with three lead teachers (E-RYT 500), joined by visiting experts in anatomy, Ayurveda and the business of yoga. Training days run 7:30am–5pm Monday to Friday and 7:30am–1pm on Saturday, with Sundays off.

Curriculum Highlights

• Asana labs covering more than 75 postures, alignment and teaching each pose
• Pranayama and meditation, kriyas and japa
• Teaching skills and sequencing, cueing and safe assists
• Yoga anatomy and subtle-body anatomy (chakras, nadis, prana, bandhas and koshas)
• Yoga philosophy and history, from the Yoga Sutras to modern practice
• Guest modules on Ayurveda, prenatal yoga and Acro Yoga
• Practice teaching with feedback, weekly revision tests, a written exam and a final open class

Pricing

Tuition is USD 2,950, or USD 2,450 early bird when paid in full upfront. Accommodation is booked and paid separately: most students stay at Kolonial House, the school's own guesthouse with nine private en-suite rooms a five-minute walk from the shala, and the team can also recommend homestays and hotels nearby.
