Indonesia is the world's most diverse destination for yoga teacher training — from the spiritual heart of Bali's Ubud to the surf-and-yoga energy of Canggu, the dramatic clifftops of Uluwatu, the pristine beaches of Lombok, and now the thriving wellness studios of Jakarta. Each location offers a distinctly different experience, united by Indonesia's deep and ancient connection to the practices that yoga is rooted in.
A 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) is the internationally recognised foundation for teaching yoga professionally. Most programs run 21–28 days and cover asana practice, anatomy, philosophy, pranayama, and hands-on teaching methodology. Graduates who complete a Yoga Alliance-accredited program can register as a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200) and teach worldwide. 300-hour programs build on this foundation for more experienced teachers, and 500-hour programs combine both levels.
This directory lists YTT schools and programs across Indonesia — from the rice-paddy retreat centres of Ubud to the beachfront shalas of Lombok and the professional studio campuses of Jakarta. Every listing includes key details: training hours, yoga style, certification body, price, and whether accommodation and meals are included. Use the filters to find the program that's right for you and enquire directly with the school.
