Blooming Lotus Yoga is one of Ubud's most respected and long-standing teacher training schools, founded by Lily Goncalves and Ramananda Mayi. The 200-hour YTT is an extraordinary synthesis of classical yoga, Tantra, and Vedanta — going well beyond anatomy and asana to deliver a genuinely transformative immersion in the complete yogic tradition. Both founders return annually to India to study with their teachers, and that lineage connection runs through every module of the training.
The campus — Ubud Corner 88 — is set in a hillside garden above the Wos River, among lush jungle and views of Tirta Empul Temple, 15 minutes from central Ubud. Students stay in open-concept villas with private plunge pools, large living rooms, and fully equipped kitchens. Three meals a day are provided at the on-site Amrita restaurant on training days.
A minimum of two years of regular personal yoga practice is required. Students with a strong background in meditation or other spiritual practices may apply for exceptions.
Br. Mawang Kaja, Desa Lodtunduh — a traditional village set among rice paddies and jungle, 15 minutes from Ubud's markets and restaurants. Temple views and birdsong are the constant backdrop.
