Ma'at Yoga Academy runs its 200-hour foundational teacher training at H2O Yoga & Meditation Center on Gili Air, the quietest of the three Gili Islands off Lombok's north-west coast. The centre has two open-air bamboo shalas and the Good Earth Café on site, and is a short walk from the island's beaches. There are no cars on Gili Air, so the setting is calm and easy to settle into for a month of study.
The training is led by Brea Burke, an E-RYT 500 and Yoga Alliance lead trainer with more than 17 years of teaching experience, with co-trainers Christina Bubba (a full-time facilitator at H2O Yoga) and Kamila Duda (E-RYT 500, breathwork). Groups are limited to 12 students, so there is plenty of individual feedback. Ma'at Yoga Academy is a Yoga Alliance RYS 200 and RYS 300, and graduates can register as RYT 200 teachers.
Upcoming 200-hour intakes are 1–23 November 2026 and 5–27 January 2027. A 300-hour advanced training follows from 23 February to 23 March 2027. Tuition is USD $2,300, with a $500 non-refundable deposit to reserve a place and the balance due 30 days before the start.
Accommodation and most meals are not normally included; the school suggests budgeting around USD $500 or more for a room on the island, and can arrange stays at Si Pitung Village or at the H2O centre. It occasionally runs offers that include accommodation, so check with the school when you apply.
