School Yoga Institute runs its Bali teacher trainings at two retreat venues on the island's quiet north coast, far from the tourist circuits of the south. Bumi Cinta sits on the ridges of the Les Valley near Tejakula, with views across the Bali Sea, while Sumberkima Hill is set among jungle hills above the coast of north-west Bali, also with panoramic sea views.
The curriculum blends Hatha and Vinyasa yoga with a deeply spiritual thread. The school's approach incorporates the Peruvian Medicine Wheel as a framework for understanding the self and the teaching relationship. Ceremonies — Full Moon, New Moon, Letting Go, Cacao — are woven through the schedule as living classrooms in yogic philosophy.
Tuition is USD $2,200 paid in full, or $2,400 on a payment plan. It includes lifetime access to the school's 200-hour online teacher training programme and Yoga Alliance certification on completion.
Accommodation is booked separately as a package that includes three vegetarian meals a day for the 21 days. At Sumberkima Hill, packages run from $1,400 (triple room) to $1,650 (double villa) and $1,950 (private villa); at Bumi Cinta, from $1,900 (shared garden room or bungalow) to $2,350 (private bungalow).
North Bali — Bumi Cinta in the Les Valley near Tejakula, and Sumberkima Hill in the north-west. Both are among the most remote and immersive retreat settings on the island, several hours' drive from the airport.
