The Sacred Fig is an international yoga school that runs 200-hour teacher trainings in Bali and Portugal, founded by Anton Brandt and taught alongside faculty including Grace Dubery and Tony Lupinacci. The Bali training takes place on a private estate near Pemuteran, on the island's north-west coast, with a wooden-floored shala looking out to the mountains and the sea.
The course is 22 days long and the school is a Yoga Alliance registered school, so graduates can register as RYT 200 teachers. Students also receive The Sacred Fig Reader course materials, online training access, faculty mentorship and support after the training.
The next Bali intake runs from 3 to 24 February 2027. Tuition is €3,900 (non-refundable once paid). Food and accommodation are paid separately and booked directly with the property after enrolment, ranging from about USD $810 for a dorm bed to USD $2,850 for a private room in a luxury villa.
Rooming options range from shared dorms to private villas with their own pools, rooftop terraces and outdoor showers. Two vegetarian meals a day (brunch and dinner, with vegan and gluten-free options) are served family-style in the open-air restaurant as part of the food and lodging package.
Pemuteran, north-west Bali — about 3.5 hours by road from Ngurah Rai airport, with views across to Menjangan Island and Java's Ijen volcano. A far quieter setting than Bali's southern hubs.
